1. ¾Ö±Á ¶¥¿¡ »ç´Â ¸ðµç À¯´Ù »ç¶÷ °ð ¹Íµ¹°ú ´Ù¹Ù³×½º¿Í ³ñ°ú ¹Ùµå·Î½º Áö¹æ¿¡ »ç´Â ÀÚ¿¡ ´ëÇÏ¿© ¸»¾¸ÀÌ
¿¹·¹¹Ì¾ß¿¡°Ô ÀÓÇϴ϶ó À̸£½ÃµÇ
This word came to Jeremiah concerning all the Jews living in Lower Egypt--in Migdol,
Tahpanhes and Memphis--and in Upper Egypt :
2. ¸¸±ºÀÇ ¿©È£¿Í À̽º¶ó¿¤ÀÇ Çϳª´Ô²²¼ ÀÌ¿Í °°ÀÌ ¸»¾¸ÇϽô϶ó ³ÊÈñ°¡ ¿¹·ç»ì·½°ú À¯´Ù ¸ðµç ¼ºÀ¾¿¡ ³»¸°
³ªÀÇ ¸ðµç Àç³À» º¸¾Ò´À´Ï¶ó º¸¶ó ¿À´Ã ±×°ÍµéÀÌ È²¹«Áö°¡ µÇ¾ú°í »ç´Â »ç¶÷ÀÌ ¾ø³ª´Ï
¡°This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says : You saw the great disaster I brought on
Jerusalem and on all the towns of Judah. Today they lie deserted and in ruins
3. ÀÌ´Â ±×µéÀÌ Àڱ⳪ ³ÊÈñ³ª ³ÊÈñ Á¶»óµéÀÌ ¾ËÁö ¸øÇÏ´Â ´Ù¸¥ ½Åµé¿¡°Ô ³ª¾Æ°¡ ºÐÇâÇÏ¸ç ¼¶°Ü¼
³ªÀÇ ³ë¿©¿òÀ» ÀÏÀ¸Å² ¾ÇÇàÀ¸·Î ¸»¹Ì¾ÏÀ½À̶ó
because of the evil they have done. They provoked me to anger by burning incense and
by worshiping other gods that neither they nor you nor your fathers ever knew.
4. ³»°¡ ³ªÀÇ ¸ðµç Á¾ ¼±ÁöÀÚµéÀ» ³ÊÈñ¿¡°Ô º¸³»µÇ ²÷ÀÓ¾øÀÌ º¸³»¾î À̸£±â¸¦ ³ÊÈñ´Â ³»°¡ ¹Ì¿öÇÏ´Â
ÀÌ °¡ÁõÇÑ ÀÏÀ» ÇàÇÏÁö ¸»¶ó ÇÏ¿´À¸³ª
Again and again I sent my servants the prophets, who said, 'Do not do this detestable thing that I hate!'
5. ±×µéÀÌ µèÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ¸ç ±Í¸¦ ±â¿ïÀÌÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ°í ´Ù¸¥ ½Åµé¿¡°Ô ¿©ÀüÈ÷ ºÐÇâÇÏ¿© ±×µéÀÇ ¾Ç¿¡¼
µ¹ÀÌÅ°Áö ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ¿´À¸¹Ç·Î
But they did not listen or pay attention; they did not turn from their wickedness or stop burning
incense to other gods.
6. ³ªÀÇ ºÐ°ú ³ªÀÇ ³ë¿©¿òÀ» ½ñ¾Æ¼ À¯´Ù ¼ºÀ¾µé°ú ¿¹·ç»ì·½ °Å¸®¸¦ ºÒ»ì¶ú´õ´Ï ±×°ÍµéÀÌ ¿À´Ã°ú °°ÀÌ
ÆóÇã¿Í Ȳ¹«Áö°¡ µÇ¾ú´À´Ï¶ó
Therefore, my fierce anger was poured out; it raged against the towns of Judah
and the streets of Jerusalem and made them the desolate ruins they are today.

ÇàÇÏ¿© Àڱ⠿µÈ¥À» ÇØÇϸç À¯´Ù °¡¿îµ¥¿¡¼ ³ÊÈñÀÇ ³²ÀÚ¿Í ¿©ÀÚ¿Í ¾ÆÀÌ¿Í Á¥ ¸Ô´Â ÀÚ¸¦
¸êÀýÇÏ¿© ³²Àº ÀÚ°¡ ¾ø°Ô ÇÏ·Á´À³Ä
¡°Now this is what the LORD God Almighty, the God of Israel, says : Why bring such great disaster
on yourselves by cutting off from Judah the men and women, the children and infants,
and so leave yourselves without a remnant?
8. ¾îÂîÇÏ¿© ³ÊÈñ°¡ ³ÊÈñ ¼ÕÀÌ ¸¸µç °ÍÀ¸·Î ³ªÀÇ ³ë¿©¿òÀ» ÀÏÀ¸ÄÑ ³ÊÈñ°¡ ¸Ó¹°·¯ »ç´Â ¾Ö±Á ¶¥¿¡¼ ´Ù¸¥ ½Åµé¿¡°Ô
ºÐÇâÇÔÀ¸·Î ²÷¾î ¹ö¸²À» ´çÇÏ¿© ¼¼°è ¿©·¯ ³ª¶ó °¡¿îµ¥¿¡¼ ÀúÁÖ¿Í ¼öÄ¡ °Å¸®°¡ µÇ°íÀÚ ÇÏ´À³Ä
Why provoke me to anger with what your hands have made, burning incense to other gods in Egypt,
where you have come to live? You will destroy yourselves and make yourselves
an object of cursing and reproach among all the nations on earth.
9. ³ÊÈñ°¡ À¯´Ù ¶¥°ú ¿¹·ç»ì·½ °Å¸®¿¡¼ ÇàÇÑ ³ÊÈñ Á¶»óµéÀÇ ¾ÇÇà°ú À¯´Ù ¿ÕµéÀÇ ¾ÇÇà°ú
¿ÕºñµéÀÇ ¾ÇÇà°ú ³ÊÈñÀÇ ¾ÇÇà°ú ³ÊÈñ ¾Æ³»µéÀÇ ¾ÇÇàÀ» Àؾú´À´Ï¶ó
Have you forgotten the wickedness committed by your fathers and by the kings and queens
of Judah and the wickedness committed by you and your wives in the land of Judah
and the streets of Jerusalem?
10. ±×µéÀÌ ¿À´Ã±îÁö °â¼ÕÇÏÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ¸ç µÎ·Á¿öÇÏÁöµµ ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ°í ³»°¡ ³ÊÈñ¿Í ³ÊÈñ Á¶»óµé ¾Õ¿¡ ¼¼¿î
³ªÀÇ À²¹ý°ú ³ªÀÇ ¹ý±Ô¸¦ ÁöÄÑ ÇàÇÏÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ´À´Ï¶ó
To this day they have not humbled themselves or shown reverence, nor have they followed
my law and the decrees I set before you and your fathers.
11. ±×·¯¹Ç·Î ¸¸±ºÀÇ ¿©È£¿Í À̽º¶ó¿¤ÀÇ Çϳª´Ô²²¼ ÀÌ¿Í °°ÀÌ ¸»¾¸ÇÏ½Ã´Ï¶ó º¸¶ó ³»°¡ ¾ó±¼À»
³ÊÈñ¿¡°Ô·Î ÇâÇÏ¿© ȯ³À» ³»¸®°í ¿Â À¯´Ù¸¦ ²÷¾î ¹ö¸± °ÍÀ̸ç
¡°Therefore, this is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says : I am determined to bring
disaster on you and to destroy all Judah.
12. ³»°¡ ¶Ç ¾Ö±Á ¶¥¿¡ ¸Ó¹°·¯ »ì±â·Î °íÁýÇÏ°í ±×¸®·Î µé¾î°£ À¯´ÙÀÇ ³²Àº ÀÚµéÀ» ó´ÜÇϸ®´Ï ±×µéÀÌ
´Ù ¸ê¸ÁÇÏ¿© ¾Ö±Á ¶¥¿¡¼ ¾þµå·¯Áú °ÍÀ̶ó ±×µéÀÌ Ä®°ú ±â±Ù¿¡ ¸ÁÇ쵂 ³·Àº ÀڷκÎÅÍ
³ôÀº ÀÚ±îÁö Ä®°ú ±â±Ù¿¡ Á×¾î¼ ÀúÁÖ¿Í ³î·¥°ú Á¶·Õ°ú ¼öÄ¡ÀÇ ´ë»óÀÌ µÇ¸®¶ó
I will take away the remnant of Judah who were determined to go to Egypt to settle there. They will
all perish in Egypt; they will fall by the sword or died from famine. From the least to the greatest,
they will die by sword or famine. They will become an object of cursing and horror,
of condemnation and reproach.
13. ³»°¡ ¿¹·ç»ì·½À» ¹úÇÑ °Í °°ÀÌ ¾Ö±Á ¶¥¿¡ »ç´Â ÀÚµéÀ» Ä®°ú ±â±Ù°ú Àü¿°º´À¸·Î ¹úÇϸ®´Ï
I will punish those who live in Egypt with the sword, famine and plague, as I punished Jerusalem.
14. ¾Ö±Á ¶¥¿¡ µé¾î°¡¼ °Å±â¿¡ ¸Ó¹°·¯ »ì·Á´Â À¯´ÙÀÇ ³²Àº ÀÚ Áß¿¡ ÇÇÇϰųª »ì¾Æ ³²¾Æ ¼Ò¿ø´ë·Î µ¹¾Æ¿Í¼
»ì°íÀÚ ÇÏ¿© À¯´Ù ¶¥¿¡ µ¹¾Æ¿Ã ÀÚ°¡ ¾øÀ» °ÍÀÌ¶ó µµ¸ÁÄ¡´Â ÀÚµé ¿Ü¿¡´Â µ¹¾Æ¿Ã ÀÚ°¡ ¾øÀ¸¸®¶ó Çϼ̴À´Ï¶ó
None of the remnant of Judah who have gone to live in Egypt will escape or survive to return to the
land of Judah, to which they long to return and live; none will return except a few fugitives."
15. ±×¸®ÇÏ¿© Àڱ⠾Ƴ»µéÀÌ ´Ù¸¥ ½Åµé¿¡°Ô ºÐÇâÇÏ´Â ÁÙÀ» ¾Æ´Â ¸ðµç ³²ÀÚ¿Í °ç¿¡ ¼¹´ø ¸ðµç ¿©ÀÎ °ð ¾Ö±Á ¶¥
¹Ùµå·Î½º¿¡ »ç´Â ¸ðµç ¹é¼ºÀÇ Å« ¹«¸®°¡ ¿¹·¹¹Ì¾ß¿¡°Ô ´ë´äÇÏ¿© À̸£µÇ
Then all the men who knew that their wives were burning incense to other gods, along with all the
women who were present--a large assembly--and all the people living in Lower and Upper Egypt,
said to Jeremiah,
16. ³×°¡ ¿©È£¿ÍÀÇ À̸§À¸·Î ¿ì¸®¿¡°Ô ÇÏ´Â ¸»À» ¿ì¸®°¡ µèÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ°í
¡°We will not listen to the message you have spoken to us in the name of the LORD!
17. ¿ì¸® ÀÔ¿¡¼ ³½ ¸ðµç ¸»À» ¹Ýµå½Ã ½ÇÇàÇÏ¿© ¿ì¸®°¡ º»·¡ ÇÏ´ø °Í °ð ¿ì¸®¿Í ¼±Á¶¿Í ¿ì¸® ¿Õµé°ú ¿ì¸®
°í°üµéÀÌ À¯´Ù ¼ºÀ¾µé°ú ¿¹·ç»ì·½ °Å¸®¿¡¼ ÇÏ´ø ´ë·Î ÇÏ´ÃÀÇ ¿©¿Õ¿¡°Ô ºÐÇâÇÏ°í ±× ¾Õ¿¡ ÀüÁ¦¸¦
µå¸®¸®¶ó ±× ¶§¿¡´Â ¿ì¸®°¡ ¸ÔÀ» °ÍÀÌ Ç³ºÎÇÏ¸ç º¹À» ¹Þ°í Àç³À» ´çÇÏÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ¿´´õ´Ï
We will certainly do everything we said we would : We will burn incense to the Queen of Heaven
and will pour out drink offerings to her just as we and our fathers, our kings and our officials did
in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. At that time we had plenty of food
and were well off and suffered no harm.
18. ¿ì¸®°¡ ÇÏ´ÃÀÇ ¿©¿Õ¿¡°Ô ºÐÇâÇÏ°í ±× ¾Õ¿¡ ÀüÁ¦ µå¸®´ø °ÍÀ» ÆóÇÑ ÈĺÎÅÍ´Â ¸ðµç °ÍÀÌ ±ÃÇÌÇÏ°í Ä®°ú
±â±Ù¿¡ ¸ê¸ÁÀ» ´çÇÏ¿´´À´Ï¶ó Çϸç
But ever since we stopped burning incense to the Queen of Heaven and pouring out drink offerings
to her, we have had nothing and have been perishing by sword and famine."
19. ¿©ÀεéÀº À̸£µÇ ¿ì¸®°¡ ÇÏ´ÃÀÇ ¿©¿Õ¿¡°Ô ºÐÇâÇÏ°í ±× ¾Õ¿¡ ÀüÁ¦¸¦ µå¸± ¶§¿¡ ¾îÂî ¿ì¸® ³²ÆíÀÇ Çã¶ôÀÌ
¾øÀÌ ±×ÀÇ Çü»ó°ú °°Àº °úÀÚ¸¦ ¸¸µé¾î ³õ°í ÀüÁ¦¸¦ µå·È´À³Ä ÇÏ´ÂÁö¶ó
The women added, "When we burned incense to the Queen of Heaven and poured out drink
offerings to her, did not our husbands know that we were making cakes like her image
and pouring out drink offerings to her?"
20. ¿¹·¹¹Ì¾ß°¡ ³²³à ¸ðµç ¹«¸® °ð ÀÌ ¸»·Î ´ë´äÇÏ´Â ¸ðµç ¹é¼º¿¡°Ô ÀÏ·¯ À̸£µÇ
Then Jeremiah said to all the people, both men and women, who were answering him,
21. ³ÊÈñ°¡ ³ÊÈñ ¼±Á¶¿Í ³ÊÈñ ¿Õµé°ú °í°üµé°ú À¯´Ù ¶¥ ¹é¼ºÀÌ À¯´Ù ¼ºÀ¾µé°ú ¿¹·ç»ì·½ °Å¸®¿¡¼ ºÐÇâÇÑ ÀÏÀ»
¿©È£¿Í²²¼ ±â¾ïÇÏ¼Ì°í ±×ÀÇ ¸¶À½¿¡ ¶°¿À¸¥ °ÍÀÌ ¾Æ´Ñ°¡
¡°Did not the LORD remember and think about the incense burned in the towns of Judah and the streets
of Jerusalem by you and your fathers, your kings and your officials and the people of the land?
22. ¿©È£¿Í²²¼ ³ÊÈñ ¾ÇÇà°ú °¡ÁõÇÑ ÇàÀ§¸¦ ´õ ÂüÀ» ¼ö ¾øÀ¸¼ÌÀ¸¹Ç·Î ³ÊÈñ ¶¥ÀÌ ¿À´Ã°ú °°ÀÌ È²ÆóÇϸç
³î·¥°ú ÀúÁްŸ®°¡ µÇ¾î ÁÖ¹ÎÀÌ ¾ø°Ô µÇ¾ú³ª´Ï
When the LORD could no longer endure your wicked actions and the detestable things you did, your
land became an object of cursing and a desolate waste without inhabitants, as it is today.
23. ³ÊÈñ°¡ ºÐÇâÇÏ¿© ¿©È£¿Í²² ¹üÁËÇÏ¿´À¸¸ç ¿©È£¿ÍÀÇ ¸ñ¼Ò¸®¸¦ ¼øÁ¾ÇÏÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ°í ¿©È£¿ÍÀÇ À²¹ý°ú ¹ý±Ô¿Í
¿©·¯ Áõ°Å´ë·Î ÇàÇÏÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ¿´À¸¹Ç·Î ÀÌ Àç³ÀÌ ¿À´Ã°ú °°ÀÌ ³ÊÈñ¿¡°Ô ÀϾ´À´Ï¶ó
Because you have burned incense and have sinned against the LORD and have not obeyed him
or followed his law or his decrees or his stipulations, this disaster has come upon you,
as you now see."
24. ¿¹·¹¹Ì¾ß°¡ ´Ù½Ã ¸ðµç ¹é¼º°ú ¸ðµç ¿©Àο¡°Ô ¸»Ç쵂 ¾Ö±Á ¶¥¿¡¼ »ç´Â ¸ðµç À¯´Ù »ç¶÷ÀÌ¿©

Then Jeremiah said to all the people, including the women, "Hear the word of the LORD,
all you people of Judah in Egypt.
25. ¸¸±ºÀÇ ¿©È£¿Í À̽º¶ó¿¤ÀÇ Çϳª´Ô²²¼ ÀÌ¿Í °°ÀÌ ¸»¾¸ÇÏ½ÃµÇ ³ÊÈñ¿Í ³ÊÀÇ ¾Æ³»µéÀÌ ÀÔÀ¸·Î ¸»ÇÏ°í
¼ÕÀ¸·Î ÀÌ·ç·Á ÇÏ¿© À̸£±â¸¦ ¿ì¸®°¡ ¼¿øÇÑ ´ë·Î ¹Ýµå½Ã ÀÌÇàÇÏ¿© ÇÏ´ÃÀÇ ¿©¿Õ¿¡°Ô ºÐÇâÇÏ°í
ÀüÁ¦¸¦ µå¸®¸®¶ó ÇÏ¿´ÀºÁï ³ÊÈñ ¼¿øÀ» ¼ºÃëÇÏ¸ç ³ÊÈñ ¼¿øÀ» ÀÌÇàÇ϶ó ÇϽôÀ´Ï¶ó
This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says : You and your wives have shown by your
actions what you promised when you said, 'We will certainly carry out the vows we made to burn
incense and pour out drink offerings to the Queen of Heaven.' "Go ahead then,
do what you promised! Keep your vows!
26. ±×·¯¹Ç·Î ¾Ö±Á ¶¥¿¡¼ »ç´Â ¸ðµç À¯´Ù »ç¶÷ÀÌ¿© ¿©È£¿ÍÀÇ ¸»¾¸À» µéÀ¸¶ó ¿©È£¿Í²²¼ ¸»¾¸ÇÏ½ÃµÇ º¸¶ó
³»°¡ ³ªÀÇ Å« À̸§À¸·Î ¸Í¼¼ÇÏ¿´ÀºÁï ¾Ö±Á ¿Â ¶¥¿¡ »ç´Â À¯´Ù »ç¶÷µéÀÇ ÀÔ¿¡¼ ´Ù½Ã´Â
³» À̸§À» ºÎ¸£¸ç ÁÖ ¿©È£¿ÍÀÇ »ì¾Æ °è½ÉÀ» µÎ°í ¸Í¼¼Çϳë¶ó ÇÏ´Â ÀÚ°¡ ¾øÀ¸¸®¶ó
But hear the word of the LORD, all Jews living in Egypt : 'I swear by my great name,' says the
LORD, 'that no one from Judah living anywhere in Egypt will ever again invoke my name
or swear, "As surely as the Sovereign LORD lives."
27. º¸¶ó ³»°¡ ±ú¾î ÀÖ¾î ±×µé¿¡°Ô Àç³À» ³»¸®°í º¹À» ³»¸®Áö ¾Æ´ÏÇϸ®´Ï ¾Ö±Á ¶¥¿¡ ÀÖ´Â À¯´Ù ¸ðµç »ç¶÷ÀÌ
Ä®°ú ±â±Ù¿¡ ¸ÁÇÏ¿© ¸êÀýµÇ¸®¶ó
For I am watching over them for harm, not for good; the Jews in Egypt will perish by sword
and famine until they are all destroyed.
28. ±×·±Áï Ä®À» ÇÇÇÑ ¼Ò¼öÀÇ »ç¶÷ÀÌ ¾Ö±Á ¶¥¿¡¼ ³ª¿Í À¯´Ù ¶¥À¸·Î µ¹¾Æ¿À¸®´Ï ¾Ö±Á ¶¥¿¡ µé¾î°¡¼ °Å±â¿¡
¸Ó¹°·¯ »ç´Â À¯´ÙÀÇ ¸ðµç ³²Àº ÀÚ°¡ ³» ¸»°ú ±×µéÀÇ ¸» °¡¿îµ¥¼ ´©±¸ÀÇ ¸»ÀÌ Áø¸®ÀÎÁö ¾Ë¸®¶ó
Those who escape the sword and return to the land of Judah from Egypt will be very few. Then the
whole remnant of Judah who came to live in Egypt will know whose word will stand--mine or theirs.
29. ¿©È£¿ÍÀÇ ¸»¾¸ÀÌ´Ï¶ó ³»°¡ ÀÌ °÷¿¡¼ ³ÊÈñ¸¦ ¹úÇÒ Ç¥Â¡ÀÌ ÀÌ°ÍÀÌ¶ó ³»°¡ ³ÊÈñ¿¡°Ô Àç³À»
³»¸®¸®¶ó ÇÑ ¸»ÀÌ ¹Ýµå½Ã ÀÌ·ç¾îÁú °ÍÀ» ±×°ÍÀ¸·Î ¾Ë°Ô Çϸ®¶ó
¡°¡®This will be the signto you that I will punish you in this place,' declares the LORD, 'so that
you will know that my threats of harm against you will surely stand.'
30. º¸¶ó ³»°¡ À¯´ÙÀÇ ½Ãµå±â¾ß ¿ÕÀ» ±×ÀÇ ¿ø¼ö °ð ±×ÀÇ »ý¸íÀ» ã´Â ¹Ùº§·ÐÀÇ ´ÀºÎ°«³×»ì ¿ÕÀÇ ¼Õ¿¡
³Ñ±ä °Í °°ÀÌ ¾Ö±ÁÀÇ ¹Ù·Î È£ºê¶ó ¿ÕÀ» ±×ÀÇ ¿ø¼öµé °ð ±×ÀÇ »ý¸íÀ» ã´Â ÀÚµéÀÇ ¼Ó¿¡
³Ñ°Ü ÁÖ¸®¶ó ¿©È£¿Í²²¼ ÀÌ¿Í °°ÀÌ ¸»¾¸Çϼ̴À´Ï¶ó
This is what the LORD says : 'I am going to hand Pharaoh Hophra king of Egypt over to his
enemies who seek his life, just as I handed Zedekiah king of Judah over
no Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, the enemy who was seeking his life.'"
